What is a Hackathon?
A hackathon is an event where people come together to solve a problem through innovative solutions in a short period of time. HackUX will be focused on how we will design for VR environments and we should interact with these technologies in the future.
What are the dates and time for the HackUX?
HackUX will take place over two days, starting on Friday, November 24th at 6 pm until 8 pm and on Saturday, November 25th at 10 am until 7 pm with drinks afterwards on both days.
Where is the Hackathon?
The hackathon will be at Aviva Digital Garage, 133-35 Hoxton Square, London N1 6NN, England.
What is the goal of the Hackathon?
The goal of the hackathon is to create innovative products and solutions, as well as gain knowledge about the issue and make valuable connections.
Who can pitch ideas?
You and everyone else who signs up for HackUX can pitch ideas in the beginning of the event. After that groups will be formed around the ideas and the hacking will begin!
What are the prizes?
Prizes are TBD. They will be awarded for the winners in the following categories: – Solution most aligned to brief – Most original concept – Best use of the tool.
What should I bring?
Bring a computer and whatever else you need to get work done, as well as your best ideas and a lot of energy!
When will I get more details about the challenge?
A pack will be shared with participants closer to the date with more specific details about the challenge.
Do I sign up as an individual or a team?
You must sign-up as an individual, but after the ideas pitch, you can choose with whom you would like to form a team with, team size ranging from 4-6 members.
